Step 4: Verify your business
You can see the full Google My Business registration process in this video from MONA:
This step matters: once Google verifies your business, it gives you priority. When the information you submit is correct and consistent, Google treats the address as trustworthy.
During verification, Google shows you a series of windows so you can check and confirm your information once more.

After this step, Google sends a verification letter to the business address you registered. It takes about 2-4 weeks depending on the country to receive the letter with the PIN from Google.
When the letter arrives, it explains how to activate. Just follow those steps. Once activation is done, your registration is complete and your business will appear.
MOST IMPORTANT NOTE: Letters from Google often get lost because of a wrong postal code or other problems, and many never arrive.
IF YOU DON'T RECEIVE THE LETTER AFTER 14 DAYS, follow the steps below:
Step 1: go to the Support.
Step 2: Enter your request. Here I'll write: “I can't verify my business“.

Step 3: Select the reason you can't verify.

Step 4: Choose how Google can contact you, by email or by phone

Then fill in your full business details, including:
- Name
- Business name.
- Your business's URL on Google My Business (open your unverified business page and copy the URL from the address bar; Google's support section also has illustrated instructions).
- Select your country
- Enter a contact phone number
- Upload photos of your business, including a shot from outside (showing the sign and address), the storefront and the interior,…
- Your relationship to the business: owner or employee,…
- Then click “Submit“.
A few hours later, a Google specialist emails you to confirm. Once they've checked a few things along with the photos you sent, your Google My Business is verified. Good luck!

Common mistakes when adding a business to Google Maps
When registering your business on Google Maps you may run into common errors such as:
Still no letter after 14 days
Many businesses run into this. If you haven't received the letter from Google after 14 days, it may not have been delivered, may have gone to the wrong post office, or may have been held up for another reason.
Most of the time it's because, in the “Postal code” field, people tend to type the familiar code, 100000 for Hanoi and 700000 for Ho Chi Minh City. The letter may then reach a post office that isn't the one nearest you, so you never get it.
To fix this, look up the correct postal code at: https://www.geopostcodes.com/Vietnam and follow the steps below to update the information and return to the verification page so Google sends a new letter.
- Step 1: Go to “information” and click the edit icon as shown below.

When the notice appears, click continue to go to step 2.
- Step 2: Leave the business address as it is and change the postal code (the one you looked up in the previous step).

Then go back to the business verification page and follow the instructions. Changing the postal code helps Google send the letter to the right post office.
Fixing wrong business information on Google Maps
One common error when adding a business to Google Maps is entering wrong information. You can't receive the code, so the business can't finish adding its address to Google Maps.
Wrong information also affects how customers find you, which hurts your business. So fix it quickly by:
- Signing in to Google's management dashboard for your business.
- Next, open the information section and find the address field.
- Then correct the information to resolve the error.
That covers how to add your business address to Google Maps, and we hope the detailed information just MONA shared helps you register your business on Google Maps faster and more accurately. Doing so will help your business perform better. Good luck.
