How Much Can You Earn From Hosting Affiliate Per Month?

After more than 14,000 projects, we see the same thing over and over with people who often refer infrastructure services to their clients: they get paid once and that is it, while the client stays for years. This is not rare. When we discussed the launch plan, we remembered a few old stories. A man who runs a YouTube channel teaching WordPress programming once told us this one. He wrote a very detailed guide to buying a virtual server. Viewers read it and decided to buy through his referral link. The provider paid him a sum once and that was it. The clients kept using the service for years afterward and he got nothing more.

We also met a service company in Da Nang. They had built websites for 30 clients. They put all the data on another company's servers. Every month the clients paid their maintenance fees on time. But this company got no percentage of the renewal money either. The event where MONA launched MONA Cloud was held to fix exactly these gaps once and for all.

What is affiliate hosting and where does the money come from

Affiliate hosting means you refer customers to buy web hosting, and when the customer completes the order you receive a commission. That commission is the share the provider takes out of its revenue to pay the person who brought the customer. If the basic concept is new to you, read the article what a VPS is first. That is where the money comes from. The market currently has two main payout methods.

The first method is a one-time payment: when a customer buys a long-term or short-term plan, you receive one fixed lump sum and that is it, even if the customer stays for five years. The second method is revenue sharing over the time of use, which the industry usually calls recurring. For every amount the customer pays, you receive a matching percentage. As long as the customer keeps topping up for 12 or 24 months, you keep receiving your share each month, without having to chase new customers for money. For example, if a customer tops up 1,000,000 VND, at 20% you receive 200,000 VND.

We think the second method is much fairer. The referrer has a reason to stay with the customer. The longer the customer stays, the more your income grows steadily over time.

How much the market pays

Today the big brands all have affiliate programs, but most choose to pay once when a customer first buys, which means you get one payment and then your financial relationship with that customer is over. We surveyed the market closely on September 26, 2026. The reference exchange rate at that time was 26,500 VND per US dollar. See the detailed comparison table below.

As the table above shows, one-time commission rates are fairly high. For example, the policy of Hostinger pays up to 40% one time. This is calculated on the actual order value. Suppose an order is between one and three million VND. You would receive from 400,000 VND to 1,800,000 VND.

This way you get your commission very quickly. The money comes in fast. But in return, you have to keep working hard to find new customers. If a customer stays ten years and tops up that provider every month, your income still stops at what you got from the first order, not one more dong. We designed our program in a completely different direction.

Running the numbers: a blogger, a lecturer, an agency

We just calculated real revenue for 3 groups of partners, using MONA Cloud's list prices as the baseline: this is hourly-billed cloud infrastructure for developers and AI agents, with VPS, app hosting and databases. Servers are located in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and the US. Prices rent a VPS by the hour start at 550 VND per hour, billed for exactly the hours the machine runs.

We also have plans billed monthly. The Startup plan costs 399,000 VND. The Business plan costs 999,000 VND. We also have a 1,990,000 VND plan and a 3,990,000 VND plan.

We set out a clear revenue sharing policy from the start: the base commission is 20% on every amount a customer tops up, whether they top up to run a VPS, rent app hosting or buy a domain. This rate holds for the first 12 months. From month 13 onward, you receive 10% for life. This policy applies to every product in the ecosystem. The products include VPS, app hosting, database, mail and domains. Payment services, e-invoicing, AI and agents are counted together as well.

With 5 active paying customers, send a request in the console and we confirm your move up to reseller tier within 2 working days. The reseller commission rate is 25%. At 20 customers you move up to the senior reseller tier. The rate then is 30%. The numbers do not lie.

Say one blogger refers one customer who buys the Business plan at 999,000 VND. The customer pays for twelve months, 11,988,000 VND in total. The blogger earns a 20% commission in year one, which is 2,397,600 VND. From year two, as long as the customer keeps the plan, the blogger earns 99,900 VND a month.

Say a programming instructor refers ten students. The students use the Startup plan at 399,000 VND a month. The instructor reaches the partner tier and earns a 25% commission. In the first year, customers pay 47,880,000 VND in total. The instructor earns up to 11,970,000 VND in commission. From year two onward, the instructor earns 10% for life. That comes to 39,900 VND a month per user.

Say a web design agency advises its partners. The agency moves twenty customers onto the 399,000 VND plan. The agency reaches the top partner tier and earns up to 30% commission. Customers pay 95,760,000 VND in the first year. The agency collects 28,728,000 VND in first-year commission. From year two, the agency earns 10% every month from renewing customers. That adds up to almost eight hundred thousand VND a month.

Compared with a one-time payout, a revenue share looks lower at first. But take a calm look at the long-term math. Once a customer stays longer than 6 months, your share has already passed the market's one-time payout, and from month 7 onward every month is extra income that a one-time payout never gives you. Our customers stay with us at a very high rate. The real figure is 85%.

Why we chose monthly revenue sharing instead of a one-time payout

We chose a revenue-sharing model for 3 main reasons. It is that simple.

First, customers stick with MONA at a very good rate. The return rate is 85%. We want our partners to share in the results of that loyalty. The longer a customer uses the service, the more income you earn.

Second, referrers have a reason to write honest content. You do not need clickbait headlines to get people to sign up once and leave, because your money comes from customers who really use the service, stay long, and top up every month for their real work. You only need to describe the service's features accurately. If users find it a good fit, they will keep using it for a long time. Your revenue then grows steadily.

Third, every number is open and transparent. You see every click through your link. You see how users sign up. Every commission payment shows clearly in the management console. We hide no data. We want you to trust us fully. That is why the MONA Cloud revenue-sharing program was created.

Who earns the most from this program

Our program suits 4 main groups. The first is tech bloggers and YouTubers: you make a video comparing hosting plans or write a service review, viewers click the link to create an account, and every time they top up from then on, you get a share.

The second is programming instructors: you send the link to students who need a server for a big assignment, the students get an extra 100,000 VND in credit, and you both help your class and earn a steady monthly commission.

The third is agencies and freelancers who sell services. You take a web design contract for a partner, put the site on MONA Cloud, the customer pays infrastructure fees monthly through VietQR on their own, and you earn 25% to 30% in the first year without collecting payments or issuing invoices on the customer's behalf. This group lasts. We once saw an agency move 30 customers over at the same time.

The fourth is people who run online information sites. You build sites that offer discount codes or service reviews. Customers searching online will read your articles.

How to start in 10 minutes

To start earning commission, you only need 3 steps. It takes 10 minutes. We designed this process to be very easy to follow. Step one, you open the infrastructure console. A newly created customer account gets 100,000 VND in credit right away. Step two, you click Revenue share in the sidebar menu. There you will see your own referral link. Step three, you copy that link and paste it into your article, YouTube video description, forum signature or a badge on your site, and from then on anyone who clicks the link and signs up within 90 days is credited to you. If you use an AI assistant, you can ask the AI to fetch the link. The AI uses the MCP standard to read and insert the link automatically.

We also have a special offer for early joiners. We reserve it for the first 100 referrers who earn commission before 25/12/2026. You get a 30% rate for the first year. This commission rate is kept permanently even if you do not reach the customer volume. You also get 500,000 VND in credit to try the system. People you refer get an extra 100,000 VND in credit too. In total, a new user has 200,000 VND in their account.

What we want to say plainly

We want to work together for the long run, so we say things clearly from the start. The rules are written down. We have a policy on personal income tax. When an individual withdraws 2,000,000 VND or more at one time, the system withholds 10% personal income tax. This is a mandatory state regulation. If you issue a company invoice, no tax is withheld at all.

Commission is held for 30 days to pass the refund window, the minimum withdrawal is 500,000 VND, and we transfer the money on the 10th of each month for every request sent before the 5th, with supporting documents so you can reconcile. If you do not want cash, you can convert your commission into credit to use our services. When you convert to credit, the system adds an extra 20%.

We prohibit running ads on the MONA Cloud brand keyword, sending mass spam to solicit sign-ups, and cross-registering yourself to collect discounts, because those three things pollute the very program you earn from. Any violation will have its results cancelled under the affiliate terms. We do not impose monthly sales targets. We do not require you to sell our services exclusively. But this model does not suit everyone. If you prefer to be paid in one lump sum right away, this program is not for you.

Here are 5 questions we often get when we advise people. We answer each one briefly in a few sentences.

How do I know which customers I referred successfully? When a customer clicks your link, their browser stores the code for 90 days. When the customer creates an account and tops up, the system records the commission automatically. It is very simple. You can see the full customer list in the console.

Do I need to buy a service to earn commission? You do not have to buy our service. You create a free account and take your link, and that is it. Still, we recommend trying it to feel the speed. We already give you credit when you verify your account.

How do I receive my commission? In the payout settings in the console, you enter the bank name, account number and account holder once, and the money is transferred straight to that account at any domestic bank. The 10th of each month is our fixed payout date.

What does 10% for life mean in practice? You earn 20% to 30% commission during the first twelve months. After a year, the customer keeps topping up to renew the service. From then on, you earn 10% on each new top-up. If a customer uses the service for ten years, you get paid for all ten years.

How do customers top up through the system? Customers top up by scanning a VietQR code in their banking app, amounts are in VND so they are easy to reconcile, and we issue a monthly VAT invoice for their accounting team. That is all.
