Back then the company had only a few people. But everyone in it created real value. Nobody needed a meeting to prove they were busy. No middle layers, no bureaucratic departments, no seats filled just for show. Everyone could see each other's work, shared the same drive, and believed in the same thing.
That was when your company was at its best. And deep down, you have always dreamed of getting back exactly that feeling. A company full of people doing real work.
A company where every morning you only see people discussing solutions and improvements, laughing together over silly ideas for new products, instead of a company where even borrowing a tissue needs a procedure.
But throughout history, very few companies have grown without also bringing: BUREAUCRACY.
These aren't illustrations. This is our real photo album. The people doing real work, from the very first days.
We can't stay a passionate little team forever, either. We want to develop, to grow. But:
Every company, every “group of friends”, once it grows to a certain size, sees things slip out of control. We become the thing we hate most.
Nobody means to. It is the unwanted price of growing.
“Someone has to do that job, no matter how small or easy it is.”
As the company scales and clients pile up, it is natural to have a lot of specialist work to do. But the “small, 5-minute tasks” multiply too, and at some point we have to hire people to do those “5-minute jobs”.
So you have to hire more. You have to create positions and departments that, honestly, did almost nothing at first. Either the workload was too small for one person, or the skill level was too low to call it a profession.
Then those half-baked seats start to mutate. People without enough work go looking for other work to look important. People without the ability to create value create processes, create meetings, create factions. Bureaucracy grows. Office politics grows. The quiet toxicity you feel every morning grows along with it.
You see it all. You're frustrated. But if you pull it apart, work stops.
Always stuck in a meeting, replying to messages at eleven at night so everyone sees how dedicated they are. Ask at the end of the month what they produced, and they can't name a single thing.
Can't make a single product, but picks at colleagues' mistakes, stirs up the group chat, builds a faction. Uses the busyness of causing trouble to hide the fact that they do nothing.
Clings to a piece of process, a relationship, a password. Not to do better, but so nobody can replace them.
Invents forms, adds approval steps, makes every task pass through their hands. Then calls that obstruction quality control.
Talks the most in every meeting. When the deadline comes there's always a reason, and the reason is always in another department.
Has been around so long they've become a founding figure. Hasn't got any better in years, but the whole company quietly understands nobody can touch them.
In fact, the most serious problem is that Zombie don't just live in their own little kingdom. They can SPREAD to the people who do the real work , forcing us to find many more patchwork fixes to deal with it.
If we keep maintaining and feeding Office zombies then of course things only get worse. And on the old road, there really is NO WAY OUT.
The dream of returning to the time when the company was made up only of people who really do the work and love what they do. While still handling a large workload, many clients and big sales at MONA's scale.
MONA has pressed the button on a full, decisive rollout, with no stepping back and no turning around.

We don't let one AI do everything. This is a set of craftsmen running methodically and in sequence, each with one job, and MONA's specialists design the architecture at the head of every project.

Research, cluster building, writing and technical optimisation, almost fully automated.

Web, design, content. Machines propose, human eyes choose and refine.

Reads the whole project, writes code, runs tests itself, catches bugs itself and fixes them until they pass.
Not simulations. These are MONA agents actually running every day.
MONA has rolled it out successfully for itself. MONA is starting to roll it out for its “closest” clients. And MONA will roll it out for you.
AI doesn't create automation on its own. At the lower levels, AI is just an analysis machine sitting idle. It only runs when it's fed data. And the one feeding it, the one running around it, is still you.
Tries ChatGPT, asks a few questions to see. AI is like a new toy: fun, but scattered, not yet touching the company's real work.
Uses AI very well, sharp prompts, knows which tool fits which job. But still runs that whole loop above by hand. Better, and also more tired, because the person is still the brain connecting everything.
Connects a few tools with Zapier or n8n to automate one segment. It does save effort. But as soon as the business grows or changes, the connections break and someone has to patch them again. Patchwork automation.
Read more: automation with patchwork tools (n8n) & MONA's DataFly OS automation software →The machine runs that entire loop by itself, from start to finish. Custom-written software, a closed pipeline that closes its own loop, with a person at the wheel and full visibility. You just receive the results and make the big decisions.
Hiring MONA for automation means jumping straight from the lowest level to the top. You don't need to crawl through each level, or master that exhausting loop.
Jump straight to level 4 with MONA →Once you see the road, commit to it. Half-hearted automation is the most expensive kind. If you choose AI, go all the way; don't try it for show and quit halfway.
The old problems of management, systems, structure and old people are all chronic diseases. You think you can solve them, but years later they are still there. A new road brings new problems too, but don't be afraid. New problems get solved, and quickly. Turning back to the old way means frustration for the rest of your career.
