The challenge

While developing and optimizing its website, Hichihome faced several significant challenges that affected SEO performance and the user experience:

External hosting and little control over the site structure: because Hichihome's website was hosted on an external platform, the in-house development team could not freely edit the site structure or UX/UI. This led to technical problems such as a menu that did not work properly, no way to set up 301 redirects, and “bugs” during optimization. This not only hurt the user experience but also affected the website's ability to rank on search engines.
Products not optimized: one of the website's biggest weaknesses was that products were not fully optimized for SEO. Product descriptions lacked detail, keywords and an SEO-friendly structure, which made it hard for the website to rank high on Google and attract potential customers.
